Nominator's project description

Professor Fidora is one of the most prominent international scholars in the field of Medieval Philosophy. The main topic of his research in the last 15 years was the reciprocal reception of religious doctrines and canonical religious texts in medieval philosophical debates among Jewish, Christian, and Muslim thinkers in Europe. He is one of the co-editors of the important German book series: "Herders Bibliothek der Philosophie des Mittelalters" and "Politische Philosophie und Rechtstheorie des Mittelalters und der Neuzeit".
